Eclipse 3.5 - Galileo - New and Noteworthy
December 10th, 2008For some bizarre reason Eclipse hides the pages where it keeps the New and Noteworthy documentation of milestone releases. These pages contain details of the new features along with screenshots where applicable. In most cases the screenshot is invaluable to see were the new feature can be accessed.
This new features documentation is not in the real Eclipse documentation. Besides most of the time we are upgrading so don’t want to trawl through all the existing documentation just to get the new features.
So I have gathered together the links to the Eclipse 3.5 - New and Noteworthy documentation for your convenience. The Eclipse project typically does about 7 or 8 milestone releases before going into the release candidate (RC) phase which I will add here when I find them:
- Eclipse 3.5 M1 - New and Noteworthy

- Eclipse 3.5 M3 - New and Noteworthy
- Eclipse 3.5 M4 - New and Noteworthy

On 24th June 2009 Eclipse 3.5 - Galileo was released. Hurray!

Missing the RC "New and Noteworthy"-Links.Thanks for your efforts.
There are no "New and Noteworthy" documents for the release candidates because when the milestones are finished the release is feature complete. The release candidates are bug fixes only.You're right though, it probably would be good to have the links in for completeness.

Nice collection of links, thanks. I wonder why this is not on the front page of eclipse.org, it's fun to read about new features. Don't know, that's part of the reason why I created this page. 
Thank you for your post, and i hope eclipse invests in making its site a bit more accessible. I myself have been lost following many links, to end up back where i have started, and as an eclipse developer it gets pretty annoying.
