How to order a domain name

Ordering an internet domain name is really simple. First you need to check its availability.

• Open a web browser, like Internet Explorer.
• Type in the name of the domain you want to register.
• If you are taken to a web site then the domain is in use and you will have to pick another.
• If not then next you must check that the name is not owned by anyone.
• Open a web browser (or use the same web browser window you opened earlier) and go to: http://who.is/
• Enter the name of the domain you would like to register into the search box
• Look at the section of the page entitled "REGISTRY WHOIS FOR .....", if it says it's free then you are good. If it isn't free then you will have to pick another.
• Once you have found a domain that you are happy with and that is free, contact BigSoft Support via the issue tracker and request to buy the name.
