Plot multiple locations on Google Maps
August 22nd, 2009I’ve recently been house hunting and needed to print out a map with all my potential purchases on so I could see their relative positions relating to bus routes and the distance to town.
Surprisingly Google Maps doesn’t support, plotting multiple points of interest on the map.
Hunted around a bit and found this person who is using the Google’s Map API to produce a map with a list of points marked on it.
Just go to http://gmaps.kaeding.name/ fill in the box with 1 address per line and click Submit Query. If you want to save your search then enter a name into the Save this Query as box.
It’s a basic front end, but it does the job.

Very nice job on the map!I wrote the php to collect all of the external links on my site and resolve them to locations, then I pasted these into your map, very cool seeing their positions on the globe.
